I have just received a copy of your book. Thanks so much for sending it as it really cheered up my Friday afternoon. We have been having a mini story time in the library, with my colleague Janet (adult stock manager) reading the book to me. As you can imagine we do get a lot of books sent through for us to read, but this really stands out as one of the best. We will definitely be buying copies via Bertrams, and I was wondering if you are still giving free story sessions at libraries. I will pass on the details to our primary schools too. Good luck with the book, and congratulations on producing such a fun story that I know will be enjoyed.

Hi Leighroy,

I'm the delivery driver who delivered your books this week. Ithought I would let you know, my daughter Aimee liked the book, she read it quiet easily and she thought it was funny, she's aged 6.

I too thought it was good, it's just right for my daughter's age. It's a great story and I think it was well presented . I wish you lots of luck with the book. and I would like to see your follow-up.

beautifully written and illustrated. We bought this book for a baby girl due to be born in the family very shortly. She won't be getting any use out of it for a few years yet but we just had to have an excuse to buy it - not that anyone would need an excuse!

After reading The Hairy Plug Monster we too were reminded instantly of "The Night Before Christmas". The Hairy Plug Monster has the makings of a timeless classic.

I think we need to order another copy - just in case we are ever presented with grandchildren!

If you take the response offered by my niece Olivia when I asked if
she enjoyed the bed time story, 'yeah, yeah, YEAH', you can guage what 
she thought of the book. I read it to her a few times and each time 
she laughed at different parts and she especially loved the 'quack 
quacks'!!! My sister and I both agreed that the rhythmic style
reminded us of the legendary Clement Clarke Moore's book, Twas the 
night before Christmas - one of our favourites to this day.

 The book was sent to my work and so I thought what better way to hear 
what journalists think, so I read The Hairy Plug Monster out-loud in
the newsroom. Everyone enjoyed the reading and the story, and I was 
bombarded with questions about who wrote it and where the book had 
come from.

 Personally I think this is a fantastic, well written and wonderfully 
illustrated children's book, which captured my imagination, from start 
to finish. I think stories which follow this first offering from 
Leighroy Marsh and Samuel Perry will receive an equally high acclaim.

After purchasing a copy for myself and my girlfriend, her daughter and daughters friend both read the book and loved it. They are asking if there is another.

As for myself i loved the story of Maya and the Hairy Plug Monster........just reminds me of my childhood.......and everyone can relate to hair going down the plug holes, and then what happens, but you have made that come to life in a wonderful story.
