The Hairy Plug Monster has now been translated into Italian and an Arabic version is underway.  Sales of the HPM  triple over the month of November with further orders expected from Waterstones as bookings are made for readings and booksignings.

Adswood Primary School are selected as the chosen school to test out new material following my visit.  What started out as a 15 minute reading turned into a full day, with requests for me to return whenever I want.

The planned Borders event is thrown into disarray as the company enters into administration on the eve of my booksigning.  The reading still went ahead although staff apologised for not being able to extend the same hospitality that they would normally give to a visiting author.

October 2009

Waterstones H.O. have given permission for HPM MEDIA Ltd to supply their stores and set up individual trading accounts, there are over 350 stores within the Waterstones Empire which could catapult The Hairy Plug Monster into the stratosphere.

The Dubai International Children's Book Fair, have invited HPM Media Ltd to take part in their first exhibition in February 2010.  The fair's main aim, is to improve literacy throughout the Arab world amongst children. Seminars and meetings are being organised to match Authors and Publishers with their Arab counterparts and it is hoped that we will be able to find a partner to act in our interest's in the Middle East.

Kul Cuthbert gives an excellent 1 hour live on air interview with www.ccr-fm.co.uk  Thursday 8th October,  to talk about the origins of HPM MEDIA LTD and the Hairy Plug Monster.

Banks Lane Infant School invited me to give a reading to year 1 children on the same day and I treated them to a taster of Be Careful Ethel.
